We’ll be making sure it’s loud and clear that child care should be a top budget priority!

Family Forward’s Funding Priorities Include:

  • $250M additional budget allocation to the Department of Early Learning and Care would pay for the 4,000 families approved for ERDC but not yet connected to a child care provider and it would eliminate the waitlist that has grown to 9,700 families.
  • $14M for HB 2452 to fund Child Care Resource and Referral Directors to provide referral services to connect families looking for care to child care providers
  • $16M for HB 3008 to continue the $500 recognition bonus payments directly to child care providers and directly invest in child care workforce apprenticeship programs
